Welcome to Willow & The Owl. By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Our Products

Willow & The Owl specialises in digital PDF sewing patterns and downloadable sewing resources.

All products currently sold through our website are digital downloads. No physical products will be shipped.

Please read individual product descriptions carefully before purchasing to ensure the pattern meets your needs.

2. Digital Downloads

Once payment has been successfully processed, your purchased digital files will be made available for download.

A download link will also be sent to the email address provided during checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing a valid email address and ensuring they have suitable software to open and print PDF files.

3. Copyright and Intellectual Property

All original sewing patterns, written instructions, templates, illustrations, photographs and other original content created by Willow & The Owl remain the intellectual property of their respective copyright owners.

Purchasing a sewing pattern grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the pattern in accordance with these terms. Copyright ownership is not transferred to the purchaser.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, share, distribute or resell the digital pattern files.

• Upload our patterns or instructions to other websites, marketplaces, social media groups or file-sharing platforms.

• Sell, publish or distribute modified versions of our patterns or templates.

• Claim our original designs, illustrations or instructions as your own.

• Use our pattern files or instructions to create competing digital sewing patterns without permission.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4. Selling Handmade Items

We welcome and encourage small businesses and independent makers to sell physical handmade items created using our sewing patterns.

No additional commercial licence is currently required for small-scale handmade production.

This permission applies to finished handmade products only. It does not permit the reproduction, redistribution or resale of our digital patterns, instructions or templates.

Commercial mass production, manufacturing by third parties or licensing our designs to other businesses requires prior written permission.

5. Refunds and Consumer Rights

Due to the digital nature of our products, refunds are not generally available for change of mind or accidental purchases once the files have been supplied.

If you receive an incorrect or faulty file, please contact us so we can assist.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.

6. Pattern Accuracy and Finished Products

We aim to provide clear, accurate instructions and measurements for all our sewing patterns.

Finished results may vary depending on fabric choices, materials, sewing techniques and individual skill levels.

Customers are responsible for ensuring their finished handmade items are suitable and safe for their intended use, including compliance with applicable product safety requirements when selling finished products.

7. Pricing and Payments

All prices are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout.

Payments are processed securely through the payment providers available on our website.

We reserve the right to update product prices, descriptions and availability at any time. Changes will not alter the agreed price of an order already accepted.

8. Website Content

Website content, including photographs, product descriptions, branding and original creative material, must not be copied or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

Unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action where appropriate.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be published on this website.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights arising under completed purchases or applicable law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply.
